But it's not all doom and gloom. People are also finding creative ways to push back against corporate power and expand our democracy with Clean Elections.
In 2021, we took a big step to reduce corporate influence with the approval of legislation banning corporate contributions to Maine candidates and legislators. When it comes to healthcare, jobs, tax policy, and the environment, corporate interests won’t have that extra influence over our elected officials.
We couldn’t do this without you. Your $5, $25, $100 or $500 contribution puts power back in the hands of Maine people.
